Support » Fixing WordPress » What happens with old statistics when you move from WordPress.com?

  • First of all, hello! My name is María and I have a blog called Rebeautys.com.

At the moment I have it at wordpress.com but I want to move it to a different server, having my own instalation of WordPress 3.9.1. I have carefully readed instructions for the exportation and importation process but I still have some doubts I’d like to solve before doing it. (Of course I tried to look for it before asking but I couldn’t find it, please bear with me I hope I’m not wrong when I say no one said it before in the forum, even if I find it a little weird… I beg your pardon if I’m wrong).

    1. Is there a way I can export also my stats in WordPress.org?
    2. What happens with my followers at wordpress.com if I move (with followers I mean people who receive an e-mail when I update or that follow me with the WordPress.com reader)? ¿Will I still have them? What should I do to mantain them as followers…?

Hope I could explain my doubt clearly as I am not a native English speaker… thank you very much in advance

    1. You need to speak to the folks over a wordpress.com about this when your new self-hosted site is up & running.

    2. See (1) 🙂

Ok esmi thank you! 🙂 I thought this was the right place but then I will ask them 🙂
