My web guy designed the home page making a template. It looks great, but I’m wondering, if all the information for the home page is included in that template, what is google indexing or searching?
There is no actual “content” on the home page. The following is confusing, but hopefully it will help: There is a page called “Home.” That page has no copy in it. There is a Home template where all the content for my home page lives there. That Home template is made up of other posts and blog items. 75% of the blog and post items don’t change very often (30% doesnt’ change at all). The site is jamesgangcreative.com. The top part, doesn’t change. The other parts are related to blogs and other posts in my site.
The question is: Should there be some copy about what I do either in a listing (advertising, marketing, content, etc) somewhere on that site? Or, at least have this page categorized or set up in some way that refers to other places in the site that refer to my offering?
It just seems there should be something static on the page or somehow set up something in ALLINONE seo or the widgets that help the search engines find marketing communications advertising and public relations on the home page.
