  • I am trying to understand the procedure when a post is made, what files are used, and which part of the DB is effected. When the post is viewed, where and how is the information processed.

  • That’s a little broad. A post makes an entry in the wp_posts table is retrieved during an instance of the loop (or not), usually with the: the_content() function. What specifically do you want to know or modify? You could get a very good understanding of the process by following the code in your theme’s file that displays single posts and categories. That’s how I started on day one anyway.

Hi, The site works ok, it is just the posting I have problems with. The link is Munich City Guide

This shows the posts, but if any post is clicked it does not load the full single post.

I have a test set-up that works at Jobseekers It would make sense if I could just copy over any faulty files, but which ones?

    Appreciate your interest.
