• I upgraded from WPMU 2.9.2 but I was having the problem of images not showing. I even installed the “wordpress to wordpress filter” plugin but it did not work.

The only way it worked was if I left wp-content/blogs.php and not tell .htaccess to use /wp-content/ms-files.php.

Now the images show correctly but I’m wondering if this might have some negative security effects.

    Thanks

  • I did something similar after going from five normal WP’s to a 3.0 network. I made bogus folders/wp-content/uploads folders to not have to change the paths of each and every image.

I’m wondering if this might have some negative security effects.

    Nope. Can’t see how.

The only down side is at some point in the future if you do an auto upgrade, you’ll probably have to fix this.

    andrea_r,

I’ll leave like that for now. If I can’t fix it I might revert back to WPMU 2.9.2.

    Thank you
