If remember correctly there used to be an option where we could skip the trash so that when we bulk delete files after the scan they would be deleted without going into the trash first. Now, we have to scan > delete > trash > delete.

Skipping the trash was a nice feature. Any change you’d bring that option back?

I’m sure there’s a simple opt-in warning ability to keep dummies from losing media by mistake 🙂

    Hi @wordmax,

Actually, before, the trash was working and enabled based on the MEDIA_TRASH define. Now, it doesn’t: the trash system is entirely built/managed by Media Cleaner, so it doesn’t need that WordPress feature at all! 🙂 However, it means that it is always enabled.

Indeed, I could add an option to disable it. I would only add this in the Pro Version, to avoid issues (in my experience, users of the free are much more careless and don’t read the warnings – the Pro users are extremely carefuly because they decided to embrace the plugin more seriously).

I can share with you a version of the plugin with that option, would you be interested in trying it? If yes, please use this contact form: https://meowapps.com/contact. I’ll come back to you with a plugin with the option 🙂
