  • Oh no! I’m a big fan of this plugin, too.

I’m hoping it’s just being rebranded and not retired.

it’s gone since a while. i just try to contact the dev to get the latest version. it seems to be gone from all download locations.
and it finally had the “Save and stay” button!! 🙂

anybody knows a decent plugin with HTML, PHP, JS support? (i know there are others who allow php with <?php ?> (obviously).

    anyways, i really liked it…
of course, it can all be done in “proper” php files and shortcodes, but this plugin had advantages because it was very managable and the contents where stored in the database.

i hope i contacted the right fellow on facebook 🙂

i was just in fb-chat contact with the developer. the plugin had to be pulled due to security concerns raised from WP. if i understand the explanation right, the concerns are not about the plugin itself, but about what the user can do (wrong) inside the blocks.
the developer was very kind to send me the latest version. if someone is interested in the latest version and/or the complete explanation, pm me.

@codepage, thanks for finding that out and letting us know. At least we know what happened now.

This plugin was fantastic. I used it in a few of my sites.

Is there a alternative that you use Brian?

Sorry, I don’t have an alternative to recommend. I’ll just keep using it until it breaks or until someone comes out with something better.

I’m developing a Boy Scout Troop site and sure would like an opportunity to use Global Content Blocks to do some necessary edits ..

Can you hook me up? Codepage?

I was reading this topic and read that you’ve got the latest versions of GCB? Over here I’m using the 2.1.5 versions but having an error, so I was curious if this is the latest release?

Please contact me, thanks in advance!

    Stef Dijkstra

Yes, 2.1.5 is the latest release of Global Content Blocks.

I’d be interested in a copy, please would you pm me a link? thanks

Are you guys using it with PHP 7? Is it compatible?

I’m using it also with PHP7, works fine. But in combination with the newest WP version, it has bugs in it. Personally, I would look for an alternative solution.

I am looking for a download source for the newest version of this plugin “Global Content Blocks”. Please let me know if you have access to that plugin ZIP

    Thanks a lot,
