Normally, EBD will send 1 email to the WordPress administrator (you), assuming you have set it up as instructed. In the part where you are configuring the Contact Form 7 stuff you are doing 2 things: one, you are setting up the form fields that a website visitor would type his info into (his name & his email address) and two, you are setting up the information for what I call the “notification email”. The notification email is the one that goes to you (the WP admin) whenever a user fills in the form & hits submit in order to download a file you have set up (or possibly multiple files). Once the user hits submit on the form, he either gets a link that appears on the screen to download the file or he gets an email with a link to the file (and/or the file as an attachment) or both, depending on how you configured the settings. If you configured “both” or “email” then the system sends the user an email. That email is completely handled internally by EBD, it does not use Contact Form 7 for that. The Contact Form 7 config is just for your notification email.
I can’t quite figure out exactly what you have done in your set up, but if you are not getting a notification email (but do get other emails from wordpress to the admin), then something probably isn’t configured correctly. I suggest you go back through the installation instructions & also look closely at the screenshots — you might need to kind of look at both to get it set up right, depending on what you are doing.
