Support » Plugin: ShortPixel Image Optimizer » What file does bulk re-optimization use?

I have to do a bulk re-optimization of all of a site’s images and need some clarification. I’m needing to revert all images from a clean archive and I’m not sure where to put them.

When I do a bulk re-optimization, what file does Shortpixel use? Is it the base image in /wp-content/uploads or the backup version in ShortPixelBackups/wp-content/uploads?

I’m thinking that I need to put the high-quality archive files into the shortpixel backup folders, but wanted to be sure, as I’m about to process 50,000 files 🙂

    Thanks,
    AJ

    Hi @atlantajones ,
Thanks for your message and for using ShortPixel 🙂

When a re-optimization is done, ShortPixel always takes the backup version in ShortPixelBackups/wp-content/uploads. So, if you want to change “the originals”, you should replace those files in that folder.

If you got any more issues, feel free to contact us here.

    Have a good one!
    Alex
