Ninja Firewall block get/post request, stop bots and crawler and i can see it in logfile. Wordfence use my ressources but i actually don’t know what exactly the plugin do.

Can you say me what Wordfence realy do with bots, crawler and get/post request? Must i use NinjaFirewall too or wordfence do the same and only don’t say it to me?!

  • Hi

Theres lots we do, but like everything you have to configure it to do those things. Take a lookk at http://docs.wordfence.com/en/Wordfence_options to see all the options on the options page and get a great idea on how to set them. Also, we can’t alert you if you don’t have an admin email set. If you aren’t getting emails then use the box at the bottom of the page to test sending email from your server to yourself.

A bug ting we do is alerting you to changes to plugin and theme files when they occur, and then allowing you to repair them with a click. Outdated plugins and themes are an easy way in for most hackers and that’s why we send you reminders to update when a new version is out. If you enable the firewall, we also offer blocking and throttling bots, crawlers, etc. I’m not sure how well Ninja firewall works with our plugin but generally we don’t advise running two plugins that mess with the same function. You’re welcome to try though.

I hope this helps answer your question.

    tim
