    Hi,

One of our developers argues that with Cloudflare (Business plan), we don’t need W3 Total Cache anymore.

Is this correct? Does Cloudflare really replace any cache plugin or is he totally missing the point?
My understanding was that they were complimentary, not redundant. But what does W3 Total Cache do to complement Cloudflare?

Sorry, multiple questions at once but I hope I am clear :).

    Hello @msstm

Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to assist you with this.
These are two different types of caching. Cloudflare is one of the biggest networks in the world, having over 200 data center locations. However, W3 Total Cache offers a lot and in conjunction with Cloudflare, the performance is better than just using one or the other.
Page Caching, Object Caching, Database Caching, Rest API Caching, Browser Caching and security headers, CDN (you can use it for static files even when using Cloudflare), and webp conversion are just some of the features available in the W3 Total Cache.
To conclude, Cloudflare cannot replace the W3 Total Cache. and should not be considered as a rival in this field.
Two combined work as a charm.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks!
