What does Trash mean?

Hi,

I am looking for instructions on how to delete the Advanced Custom Field plugin and all data that was placed into the database using this plugin.

On the Fields Group page there is a place to “Trash” a field group. What does this “Trash” mean? What exactly does it do in terms of the database? Does it delete some column in some table, including all data? or perhaps something else? Who knows? I do not see any settings for this in your plugin.

On the Edit Field Group page there is a “delete” link. What does this “delete” mean exactly in terms of the database?

Please assume I know databases, sql, mysql, and php — but not your plugin.
