I’m getting notices from Google’s bot about 404 errors. The above link it what I was given by Google. When I click on it I don’t understand what I see. Is that a page that WP provides of all my posts? or is it a WP 404 page?

I also get 404s because the bot can’t find my comments feed. I mostly don’t approve comments because they are mostly spam.

How can I remove the feed thingie, whatever it is, and not get this error?

I would GREATLY appreciate your help with this, as I am totally confused and don’t know how to correct it.

    Karen

I wish my sites weren’t all wrong. Is the non www form “correct” because it’s the modern usage?

I always thought the non-www way was the more modern way. I’ve been trying to do some research on it, and the comments on this article seem pretty divided as far as what is “correct.” Most of the pro-www crowd seems to think that it’s important in case the machine that your site is hosted on goes down, but my sites aren’t important enough where I can’t afford to have them go down temporarily in case there’s a problem with my host.

Thanks, CrouchingBruin, that was really interesting. So ultimately it’s a matter of it being necessary to redirect from whichever you aren’t using, to that you are using.

I do wish I’d chosen NON…. I really like the way your LadyEagles site looks, without.

I received statistics from SiteLock which I use primarily because it speeds up the delivery of my sites. I was shocked at how many bots try to visit my sites. I suppose it could be bots that make my site statistics higher than my Google statistics, though the idea is supposed to be that SiteLock is stopping the bots…

Still the numbers were many hundreds of bots as compared to one human… Does that seem realistic to you?
