What does forum status ‘closed’ do?

    I’ve noticed ‘Edit forum’ has a Closed checkbox. What does checking it — which presumably makes a forum closed — do?

    Hello @davevoorhis

    In a closed forum only administrators and moderators can create new topics while everyone can answer in already existing topics – as long as they are not closed too.

    As an example: This is a nice feature for an announcements-forum.
