What counts as a call?

    Hi, I am considering your plugin, but I am not sure what counts as a call to the API. Does it depend on how much traffic you have, or how many pages of the site this weather widget appears on?

    If we have 1,000 visitors per day, does that mean we reach our limit? Or does it mean we can display the weather on 1,000 pages?

    Hi. My plugin caches the API call’s response every 12 hours by default (time period is customizable). If you have a single location on your site, you’d only use 2 API calls per day regardless of how many site visitors.

    To make sure there isn’t any confusion, my plugin does not get the visitor’s location.
