    I read in several previous support posts that we need to select another country that is not supported by Paypal processing other than the US in order for us to use our personal account with the plugin. I’ve tried several other countries like Malta, Slovenia, etc and I still get the message that I need to upgrade to a business account before proceeding.
    So what are the countries that actually work with your plugin, but allow me to keep my personal paypal account switching over to business?

    Hi @grafx77,

    It is not necessary to change the country to connect a private PayPal account (anymore).
    The signup used to be automatic, but this was changed, and all you need to do now is either uncheck Securely accept all major credit & debit cards or select Standard Card Processing before connecting your account: https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-paypal-payments/#faq-connecting-personal-paypal-account

    PayPal asks you to upgrade your account when onboarding with advanced features such as Advanced Card Processing because it is only available to business accounts.
    Please also be aware that PayPal may not support personal seller accounts in all regions where business accounts are supported, but usually, it shouldn’t be an issue.
    Alternatively, there is always the option to manually connect your API credentials.
