Support » Plugin: Mass Messaging for BuddyPress - by Alkaweb » What attribute determines ability to use this at the backend?

    I have two types of admin, full on administrators and lesser admin, not able to change the plugins etc.

    These lesser admin on my site are able to see the Front end option of “Sent this as a private message to all users”, however they cannot see the backend “Mass Messaging” link.

    Which attribute do they need in order to see it please?

    Hi Venutius,

    This happens becuase in the frontend has been used the capability “manage_options”, instead in the frontend has been used the exact role “administrator”.

    We will switch to “manage_options” also in the backend in the next update.

    For now, you can open the file alkaweb-mass-messaging-for-buddypress.php, search for:

    add_menu_page(
    	'Mass Messaging for BuddyPress',
    	'Mass Messaging for BuddyPress',
    	'administrator',
    	'alkaweb-buddypress-mass-messaging',
    	array($this, 'render_compose_page'),
    	'dashicons-email-alt'
    );

    And replace administrator with manage_options.
