I have had my wordpress site for a while and lately I opened it up and there was a comment listed in the “right now” section on the dashboard. Usually this is blank so I was surprised to see it. I always uncheck the box for every post to a not allow comments. How do these get through?
Just becuase you disabled comments doesn’t remove the code that calls it. They’re injecting things directly. Toss in ‘Cookies for Comments’ and that should shut ’em up.
