What am I not doing?

    I have uploaded everything to my web server, entered my correct details in the wp-config.php file… now what? By all accounts I need to go to mydomain/wp-admin/install.php but that just goes to a http 404 page…but on the youtube tutorials im watching it goes to a webpage where u can start creating your blog…so what step could I have missed to be able to get to that page?? Im fairly intelligent and am ableto follow steps but there just always seems to be something missing….

    Did you upload your wordpress in a directory(folder) or root

    Excuse me for sounding stupid but I dont know. I use the web host one.com, I just used FTP to upload all of the files andfolders direct to that server…so when I open the web based file manager on my one.com control panel,thats where the files are.
