As I just read a few lines about the developer chat. I probably should have read more before posting here to not show my ignorance if I had missed something. One thing that stood out is the developer chat is not an open town hall meeting.
Well we should have one..:)
So my suggestion is to have a town hall meeting. A chat where people can meet and discuss their ideas. Open chat for an hour or longer and then a moderated chat with the developers. A developer meet the public kind a chat.
Where people can ask their questions. Air ideas, thoughts, frustrations, etc etc. The point of being heard by others. People could leave questions ahead of time, and also ask the key master for permission to say something. But it needs to be brief and to the point.
It would be a good way to say hi to each other.
I believe having a chat like this once a month would strengthen the WordPress community even further. And it would get even more people interested in contributing to WordPress as it will create a climate of togetherness and sharing in something we really care about.
So what do you say?
