  • Hi!
I’m using wp quite a while now, and I must admit it’s getting better every day.
At first, I was a little scared about the layout, but I believe the logo adjustment solved a lot of those concerns, since it’s looking really nice now.
The only thing I’m not so happy about is that the latest versions (0.73, 0.80) haven’t been added to sf.net’s download page yet.
I’m sincerely scared of using the CVS and was just wondering whether there will be a downloadable release this month.
Additionally, I wondered whether people having the same user level in wp can now edit each other’s entries. That’d be a really useful feature.
Anyway: Keep up the good work. 🙂
    Christian

  • there was a post on this forum from the developers which said a new version (perhaps 1.0) before the new year! 🙂

There is no version 0.73 or 0.80 🙂
After the release of 0.72-gold, the CVS repository was re-tagged as 0.73. But as we started looking at the large scope of the changes going in, it was decided that it warranted a more major version bump, so it was re-tagged again as 0.80. Recently, even more big changes went in, and Matt decided that we might as well call the next release 1.0.
So, there’s nothing to be worried about.

Christian, the latest from CVS is tagged ‘WP 1.0 -alpha-1’. I’m not sure why you’re scared to use it; I’ve been using it exclusively since about August (when I figured out how to get it) and have had *no* major problems. I’ve found that it’s usually more stable than the released versions; and after all, technically even the releases are still beta software. 🙂
