What about a loading image?

I have been very happy with the me-js software, both in a stand-alone mode and as a WP plugin, and I am very pleased to see that it will be part of the WP Core. However, there is one deficiency I would like to resolve. Since there is so much code to be sorted out, the player can be slow to load. There is a loading image in the distribution, but it is not used when the audio is loading. I have users who are clicking on the start button two or three times before the player will start. Is there a way to get the loading image to display throughout the loading process?

Here is one of the pages: 9 seconds to load after start
