 * After doing some research, it seems like it might have been a corrupt download.
   On occasion we have seen this happen before. I assume that you are using your
   site’s admin to update the plugin. If you have ssh or ftp access, disable the
   plugin (make sure the check box by “Delete Wordfence tables and data on deactivation?”
   is not checked unless you want to set all your options again), get on the server
   and manually delete the wordfence folder in **wp-content/plugins** . The download
   a new copy to your computer and upload it to the server.

   space on the server. So everything is all good now, cheers.
