• I used the apostrophe theme on my wordpress.com site, and everything was working great. Then I decided to export to a self-hosted wordpress site. Now for some reason the last row of thumbnails on the front page has been resized, and I can’t find a way to change them back to the default. All of the other thumbnails are 450 x 450, but the third row thumbnails are all random sizes. I checked the CSS and didn’t see anything that would affect it, but they clearly show up in the HTML as being different sizes than the others. Where in the theme do I need to adjust this? Any help would be much appreciated!!

  • Hi there,

Can you please share a link to your new self-hosted site so that I can take a look? (Your username is currently linking to your old WordPress.com site.)

As a first troubleshooting step, I recommend installing the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin which, as you can guess from the title, you can then use to regenerate all of the thumbnails on your site, which may fix the issue you’re experiencing.

Also, please try disabling your plugins one by one to see if there is a conflict there causing the issue.

Let me know how you get on with those steps. If neither of those help and you can share a link to your site, I’ll be happy to look into the CSS.

    Thanks!

Sorry, the new site isn’t really active yet because of this issue, but you should be able to see it here: http://69.89.31.217/~proxygam/

I’ll try disabling the plugins and/or using the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin. Thanks for the help!

@nicolerenn: Did regenerating your thumbnails fix things up? I took a look over your site and the images seem consistent on the front page now.

Let me know if you’re still seeing issues or if you have any other questions.

I actually just switched to a different theme, that’s why it looks consistent now. I still need to figure out why Apostrophe doesn’t work on my new site.

If regenerating your thumbnails didn’t resolve the issue, I recommend enabling/disabling Jetpack’s Photon module and then regenerating them again.

I wasn’t able to replicate any issues on my own test site but would be happy to take another look at your site’s code if you decide to switch back to Apostrophe and the above steps don’t help.

I’m running into the same problem as @nicolerenn. I do not feel like i need to regenerate thumbnails because like her, I moved from wordpress.com to self-hosted. I just wanted to say that this is a problem.

Just a update, I tried the regeneration plugin and it looks like it solved the problem
