# Weird Theme Adsense Problem

 * Basically never had any issues with adsense code displaying on wordpress until
   now.
 * The adsense account **is approved**, the **code works on other websites**, the**
   ads are enabled** and working, so its NOT an adsense issue or me having to wait
   30 mins+ for adsense to activate the ads, its **definitely a theme/wp issue.**
 * For some reason, the theme is not displaying the adsense code in the widget area
   or anywhere else on the website. All I get is a **blank grey box**….but when 
   you inspect element, you can see the adsense code **IS **there, its just **not
   being displayed properly**…possibly a javascript issue?
 * I even tried creating a function within wordpress to display the code, no luck
   there.

 * Hi Anythony,
    Interesting question, have you tried using an adsense plugin? This
   can help to rule out whether there is something in your theme’s code that is 
   interfering with adsense, I like [http://wordpress.org/plugins/google-adsense-for-responsive-design-gard/](http://wordpress.org/plugins/google-adsense-for-responsive-design-gard/).
 * But before that I would also try to see if the adsense code works with the default
   twenty-twelve theme.

 * What would cause this to happen?
