# Weird Text Encoding

 * Everything was going fine on this WP site I created until one day the client 
   said his video embeds weren’t working anymore. I had a look at the outputted 
   html and can see that HTML characters are replacing the normal punctuation.
 * Annoyingly, I can’t post the code here because it parses the characters and loads
   them as correct HTML on output! The only thing I can think of is [link to an image](http://twitpic.com/bxcnau)
   so you can see the code.
 * I have a feeling it’s a character encoding problem, but can’t see how. WordPress
   is using UTF-8 and the database is set to utf8_unicode_ci.
 * Any ideas on this?
