Ok, this is very strange and just started happening. I made a few new posts today, then when in to quick edit to add a 2nd category to 1 of them, but when I did it automatically changed its status to scheduled. The post was already published and showing on my homepage. I definitely didn’t change the status. I checked it on a few other posts and it happened every time. This was not happening yesterday. Not only that, but it won’t let me change the status back to published through edit or quick edit. I have no idea what’s going on. Any one else see this before?

Ok, a little more info on this now. It seems to only do it when I quick edit to change the category. But I noticed when I enter the quick edit screen on a post that has already been published, the published date it shows is 6 hours in the future…what the heck? The only way for me to change its status is to change the published date to a previous time. I checked my plugins and deactivated the 2 new ones I installed today, since this didn’t happen yesterday, and that didn’t help.

    Have you tried
    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

Hi. Thanks for the response. The problem had to do with an outside script I was running. It would import a post for me with certain info, but the scripts time setting was different than wordpress’s so when I changed the post and re-published, the time was wrong. All good now though. Thanks again.
