Weird behaviour regarding disabled author archives

Hi.
As stated in the title, author archives have been deactivated in Yoast settings. example.com/?author=user and example.com/?author=1 get redirected to / as expected. However, just entering example.com/?author= (with nothing after the equal sign or even omitting the equal sign, too). This seems to give an archive of all authors and I’m not sure if it’s intended to be that way when author archives have been disabled. If not, somebody from team Yoast might want to look into this

If it is intended that way, I’d be interested in the reasoning for it 🙂
