• Hi all. I’m a WordPress.org noob. I work with a company that builds many WordPress sites, and we also offer a separate Webware tool that supports content marketing activities. The tool works on WP sites, but independently of WP. There’s just a piece of embed code that goes into a generic html/text box, and the tool just works. So, it’s not technically a plugin. That said, it extends WP and we’d like to make our free version available via the plugin library. We’ve talked about making a basic WP-specific widget, and then offering it through the plugin library, although it’s not really a necessity to use the tool. How is WordPress.org developing/promoting Webware tools that complement WP? Is there a preferred path that we should consider? Thank you!
