 * completely new so here goes; Im a multimedia artist setting up a website; will
   wordpress.org allow me to build a website uploading my own dreamweaver pages 
   into it, rather than just a blogging site, and also allow me to embed links to
   Vimeo videos in it; intention being to build the website with certain parts under
   construction, while sending blogs-but not on a constant basis- with the building
   of each part? I was going to go it alone with the website but I like the community/
   network aspect of wordpress? Many questions I know, but also cant find info on
   limited bandwidth/ upload (obviously large films would be embedded from third
   parties ie Vimeo)

 * Yes you can embed Vimeo videos in WordPress.
 * Yes you can use Dreamweaver to edit your theme templates. Any html editor will
   work. You do have to use WordPress templates and use a theme though. i.e. you
   do not need to create an about.html, contact.html pages etc…
