• Hey all, new user here.

I set up a website last night, hoopzchatter.com, and it was working perfectly. Soooo much better than Drupal! Anyway, after editing some posts, the website just stopped working and I am receiving the “This website is not available” error. I don’t think it’s a plug in issue.

I’ve had some trouble with 000webhost before, but never this error, and it’s always fixed itself within a half hour.

Strangest thing is, is that I can still ftp in, and IT WORKS ON MOBILE?? I can’t seem to get into the administration screen. What do you think is the issue?

    Thanks,
    Dberm22

It worked first time for me, but it took a while to load. I wanted to see what was taking the most time, so I refreshed the page and am now getting this error, “Error establishing a database connection”. What have 000webhost said about it?

Hmm, that’s odd. I was able to get in to administration mode through the Android app, so maybe I fixed whatever error it was. The database error should fix itself. I guess we will see…

As I said before, the error went away at 10am this morning (after the site stopped working around 11:45pm last night). The site just randomly stopped working again (same error). It is 11:45pm now. Is this just a coincidence?

Maybe your host does some kind of routine maintenance at this time? Or do you have an automatic back-up run?

I guess that’s possible, though I never noticed it before on any of the other sites I’ve hosted on 000webhost. And I don’t believe I set up an automatic backup.

nope..seems like it’s an issue with my wireless network. Just connected to my neighbor’s wifi and the issue disappeared, then switched back to my network and the problem came back. I’ve never heard of website-specific router issues…this is a first for me.

Yeah, that does seem odd…though ISP’s can and do block sites or emails even, so you might look into that too.
