    Hi SO Widget Bundle Team,

For more than 3 years our website uses the SO widget bundle with no problems.

Since I saw, that the website is suddenly extremly slow. By deaktivating plugin by plugin I found out the the SP wigdet plugin is slowing down the website.

How can I fix this problem?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi srmd,

I’ve run a few tests on your website and I’m getting about the same performance on pages that are, and aren’t using widgets from the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle widgets. Please disable all non-SiteOrigin plugins and measuring performance again. If performance improves, please try re-enabling one plugin one by one until performance worsens again. Then disable all plugins except for the very last plugin you activated. Is performance still poor? If so, what was the last activated plugin?

Can you please clarify what version of PHP, and WordPress version you’re using?

    Kind regards,
    Alex

    Hi Alex,

I built this website long time ago with all these plugins incl. the SO wigdet bundle. All plugins were constantly updated. And until a few days ago the website ran fast.

I figured out that the problem the SO widget bundle, because I deactivated all plugins. Then the website ran at normal speed (fast) and then I activated one by one, until the website slowed down again, when I activated the SO widget bundle.
So the source of the problem is the SO widget bundle (latest version). Then I decactivated all other plugins, and only acivated SO widget bundle = slow.

Then I deacitvated SO widget bundle and activated all other plugins = fast.

    I run wordpress v. 5.51 on a PHP 7.4.10

    Best wishes from Berlin
    Sven

    Hi Sven,

Can you please try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and then enabling your other plugins one by one? This will allow us to identify if any there are any plugins on your website that are having trouble while being used alongside the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle plugin.

    Kind regards,
    Alex

    Hi Sven,

Oh sorry, I just noticed you had already answered that.

I’m having trouble replicating this sort of performance impact on a test server. Do you have a development/staging site where you can leave WB to activate? This will allow me to run some tests against your website and compare the results between the live and staging/dev site.

    Kind regards,
    Alex
