 * Hello,
 * I received notice last night that my website, [http://www.InityWeekly.com](http://www.InityWeekly.com)
   was automatically updated to WordPress 4.0.1.
 * Since then, my website will not pull up, and if it does, the homepage first mentions
   a “500” error and then shows up after several minutes. Even when the homepage
   appears, I can click on any article or menu item, and there is a “404 (Page Not
   Found) error message.
 * I cannot even login to my admin page because of this problem. I contacted GoDaddy,
   who hosts the account, and they said it is not an error on their end. How can
   I simply restore my website to how it was before this update? I have a big festival
   in Miami tomorrow, and not that there is a better time for this to happen, but
   of all times, this is ruining ticket sales. Please help.

 * So it looks like your permalinks are not working correctly, if you login and
   go to settings -> permalinks
 * Check the settings and then hit save, try and see if the issue persists, you
   might also be given some code into a .htaccess files, take that code and edit
   the file which will be in the root of your server.
 * you hopefully will find simply saving the settings again will be enough.

 * Hello, and thank you for your reply. However, are you speaking of the settings
   on the GoDaddy hosting account? If so, “permalinks” is not listed as an option
   under settings.
 * If you are talking about the InityWeekly.com dashboard (www.inityweekly.com/wp-
   login.php), then I definitely can’t get into that because of this particular
   issue. Help?

 * What steps are you taking to get into your WordPress account, if you visit
    [http://inityweekly.com/wp-login.php](http://inityweekly.com/wp-login.php)
   and put your username and password in, are you redirected to the admin, white
   screen or something else?
