• Hi,
My website doesn’t look good on my mobile phone. I am hoping that it can just look like a smaller version of my real website.

    Thank you.

  • I don’t believe that this is a possibility with Virtue. The theme was designed to be responsive, so it would be very difficult to achieve with the theme.

What about your mobile site are you not happy with? Maybe it’s something that can be fixed or improved.

Thank you, Kevin, for your response. The virtue theme has some options for mobile site versions. I was able to get the sliding banners to work on the home page. But the drop down menu isn’t visible because it’s black text on black background. Also, the video files are really big. I’m not sure how to change this. (You can view it here-www.jewelcoastmusic.com) The jetpack option doesn’t look good, either. Is there an easier theme you recommend that is also good for mobile? Thanks so much!

Or maybe you have some suggestions for what I mentioned. Thank you. 🙂

Can you explain what you mean by a smaller version of your real website? Just a really zoomed out version?

Yeah-really zoomed out. I have another website that does that automatically. I like it fine. But I would like the mobile site, too, if I could get it to work right for me and look good. Thanks!

I was able to change the text. Now I’m going to work on trying to change the size of videos.:)

If you want the video to behave responsively, then you need to use the “insert youtube” option on the edit page area. Use the regular URL from the video on youtube, and set the max width to whatever you want! The video will look much better in mobile view that way.

Thank you, Kevin, for your response. How do I get an “insert youtube” option to appear in my edit page area? I don’t see one.

When you’re using the “Visual” editor, on the row where you find options for bold/italicized/strikethrough etc, to the right, there is the “toolbar toggle” button. Make sure that you have enabled that button, and a small youtube icon should be visible right above the page content.
