    http://www.holyfacechurch.org

    I just got off the phone with Network Solutions support, and they said that the domain is pointing to the correct place, however the site is not displaying properly.

    Could this be a theme issue? Or something else? Please help!

  • The CSS files are returning a 500 error:

    http://www.holyfacechurch.org/index/wp-content/themes/blogolife-child/style.css
    http://www.holyfacechurch.org/index/wp-content/themes/blogolife/style.css

    If you look at the URLs above you’ll see there is “/index/” in it, which shouldn’t be there. Perhaps your WordPress Address URL is set to the wrong value. You may want to try to add the following lines at the end of your wp-config.php:

    update_option('siteurl','http://www.holyfacechurch.org');
    update_option('home','http://www.holyfacechurch.org');

    Ok that’s a start. I added those two lines to the wp-config.php file and it’s working a bit better, but not 100%. Also, when I go to any of the links in the drop down menu, I get a “Connection was reset” error.

    As far as the “/index/” in the URLs, when I installed WordPress, I was asked to create a folder in which the files would go. On Network Solutions, I have the domain http://www.holyfacechurch.org pointing to that folder. If this is incorrect, please let me know!

    Login to your WordPress admin and go to Settings -> Permalinks. Change the setting to Default, and check if the site is working now.

    If it does, change the setting back to Post Name. If that breaks the site again, there may be an issue with the server’s configuration (esp. the Apache Rewrite Module) and you may have to take it up with your host.
