# Website lost. Help!

 * Hi.
 * I stupidly attempted to changed the website domain in the settings page to get
   rid of a splash screen but this didn’t work. Instead, I lost all access to the
   site and apart from the splash screen, all other aspects of the site is down.
   The main site is still visible (without theme or formatting), but all pages are
   not accessible. Instead this message appears:
 * Not Found
 * The requested URL /past-issues-and-editors/issue-8-2/ was not found on this server.
 * Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument
   to handle the request.
 * How do I fix this?
 * I have a website back-up on Dreamiest and I attempted a relaunch but this didn’t
   work. I’m only new to WordPress and I’ve having difficulty with it.
 * Your help would be very much appreciated. The website is/was themusicologyreview.
   com

 * You’ll likely need to contact your host and have them change the URLs in the 
   database.

 * Dreamhost is your host, WordPress is only the software you’re using.
 * Dreamhost would be who you’d contact to gain access to the database or have them
   edit the URLs in the database for you (which is likely the best option).

 * EDIT YOUR WP-CONFIG.PHP FILE to change it back. Once back in you can reset it
   on the settings page as well.

 * Change the above addresses to yours before you save the changes to your file!
