Website Logo not showing in search engine results (Google)

Hi

Up until recently, my business logo displayed next to my business name on the search page results in google. However, it has now disappeared and I cannot find any reason for it when I am checking through my Yoast SEO settings. Adding a business image, just puts this on the right next to the text, but the “logo” remains as the wordpress logo. Please can you explain why this might be?

@beckiw38 Can you confirm whether you have configured an image for ‘Organization Logo’ under SEO>Search Appearance>General?

Also, are you able to provide the URL of the site so that we can review the page’s metadata?

Hi

Yes, I do have the logo there and I even updated it yesterday when I noticed that it had disappeared.

https://www.wildmindsnature.co.uk is our URL.

Hi @beckiw38,

Are you referring to the favicon that appears next to the URL above your Google search results? See an example.

If so, you’ll have to add your site logo in WordPress. We have a guide: How to change your favicon in WordPress: a step-by-step guide.

Annoyingly, this hasn’t worked.

I hadn’t got a site logo saved (I have now), it is showing on the tab on a desktop browser, but the Favicon still isn’t showing on mobile search results.

Any other ideas? I’m lost and I want this to work to boost hits etc.

Hi @beckiw38,

We checked your homepage and found that it now has the required icon tag in the page source, so there isn’t an error.

Since updating the favicon in search results depends on how soon Google recrawls your site, we recommend waiting a couple days to see the result.

You can encourage Google to update your homepage using the Request Indexing tool in the Google Search Console. See How to update information in Google search results.
