Website is white and can't access wordpress – HELPPP!!!

    I downloaded a plugin called “wp chat” by Jaxl. Upon download I had to verify my website. So they generate a verification code (like google does for analytics) which was “jaxl-site-verification:jaxl20510a3484” I placed the code onto my site and now the site is just white. I figured I’d just go to wordpress and just undo it but when I try to log into WP I get the same result(white screen).

    I’m new to this but I figured that if I went to my ftp client (filezilla) that I’d be able to go in and delete the plugin, which I did put with no success. Everything is still white.

    I even go to my hosting site and click on WP Login and it takes me to a white screen. I’m totally lost I have no idea what I can do to restore mywebsite. Like I said I can’t even access WP.

    Can someone please help me I’ve worked very hard to get my site to where it is now. I’m a beginner when it comes to building a website/coding/plugin etc etc so please make comments for the “slow” users lol.

    Try manually resetting your plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

    If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via FTP or SFTP, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the Default theme (WordPress 1.5 – 2.9.2) or the Twenty Ten theme (WordPress 3.0 and higher) to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue.

    Thanks James. The site is back up and running. I use the method of creating a new plugin folder and renaming the old one and just add one by one. Worked great!
