I uploaded the latest version of magazine basic, which i always thought was a great theme, and unfortunately now that i’ve uploaded it, my website has disappeared and i only get a blank white page when i load the URL.

website has reappeared using a default theme, which is a shame because i LOVED magazine basic. i tried to reinstall it. i got a message saying that it was already installed and couldn’t install it again. it doesn’t appear on my theme page. i’m running WP 3.0, which according to WP, is compatible with the latest version of magazine basic. apparently not in my case. i hadn’t done anything else but click the “install” button for the latest version. now i hardly recognize my site.

i realize this theme is free and appreciate that it has helped me gain a strong fan base over the last year and a half. unfortunately, if i can’t rectify this situation, i will be forced to seek out another theme. i have advertiser and readers to answer to.

    please help.

finally reinstalled it. looks god awful.

There were some issues on WordPress.org the other day where all of the files for the theme were not present in the download. Not too sure why that happened. Try downloading it to your desktop and opening the zip file. If all the files are there, re-zip the folder, then delete the old version of the theme on your site, and re-upload the latest version.

That should get you moving forward with the latest version. You will have to reset a few things in the theme options since WordPress 3.0 has some new features.
