Please follow the guides. I understand you’re frustrated, but we wrote them for exactly this reason, so you can begin to fix your site immediately without waiting for any back-and-forth here.

That is definitely a possibility, also covered in the guide, and worth pursuing if you don’t want to go through the cleanup steps. 🙂
