 * Hi “KnolRaap”,
 * Have you tried it with a default theme (Twenty Fifteen) activated, and NO plugins
   activated?
 * Especially if the above still shows you an error message – since it’s a new installation–
   I’d suggest deleting it entirely and re-installing. It’s possible that a file
   didn’t upload or copy correctly. I’ve had that happen more than once when installing
   WP.
 * Best,
    Patty

 * You mentioned trying to re-install, and doing it manually (as opposed to using
   Softaculous or Fantastico, etc.) I can’t tell if you tried it yet, but that would
   definitely be my next move. This time, don’t install any plugins, and see if
   the error is gone.
 * If it is, you can go forward one step at a time installing plugins and working
   on the site, checking for the error after each change you make. That way you
   should be able to catch what caused the problem.
 * It’s possible to remove the plugins from the current installation by editing
   the database, but I think it makes much more sense to re-install.
 * I hope that helps – keep us posted,
    Patty
