Website disappeared

Hello:
about a week ago I had a mail problem associated with my domain, that my my website was in an RBL. Then the website was gone – couldn’t be found. I had trouble logging in to WordPress, but eventually got into Admin, and there was nothing there. I had recently updated a batch of plugins and themes.

I deactivated all plugins, but I still see no posts or pages. Would there be a backup somewhere? Yes, I know I’m an idiot, I did not design the site, a friend did it for me about a year ago.
