# Website directory

 * I read somewhere that I should use a subdirectory for my site, but now it’s just
   caused confusion.
 * In order to view my site, I must use [http://www.fhcoutdoors.com/blog/](http://www.fhcoutdoors.com/blog/)
 * Of course, I don’t want to have the /blog at the end, just the domain name itself
   in order to view my home page.
 * I’m new at WordPress (coming from Blogger), so please explain what folder, in
   what location, need to go where.

 * you currently are in a subdirectory, that’s what /blog means.
 * You have all your files in a folder called blog, in your root.
 * You can move all the files to root following these instructions.

 * OR, (this is what I do to keep my root directory neat) you can leave the files
   in /blog but run your site from root using these instructions as guidance

 * Note, for the second option, I said GUIDANCE, not all steps will apply to you
