 * Hello all,
 * Could really do with some help please.
 * Yesterday I tried to instal a new plugin and also update my wordpress version
   via automatic update from wordpress dashboard.
 * When updating the wordpress version it just stalled ‘unpacking’.
 * Upon trying to go into the dashboard or website it crashed showing the below 
   code.
 * I contacted the host but thy commented to say that the package I was on did have
   issues with automatic uploads and consequently crashed. I now have a broken theme.
 * I have tried to do a manual wordpress instal replacing all files except wp-config.
   php and the content folder, but no luck 🙁
 * Just seeing if anyone has any ideas before I go for a rebuild 🙁

 * – more disk space especially in /tmp, for this contact your host support
 * or/ and

 * Mark, please follow the [Upgrading WordPress – Extended Instructions
    
    instructions,
   which are **intended** for situations like yours where a **manual update fails**.
 * Basically, you will need to **delete** all of your WordPress files and folders**
   except** for the `wp-config.php` file and your `wp-content` folder.
 * Then you should **download** a **new** copy of the WordPress **.zip** file to
   your computer from [https://wordpress.org/download/](https://wordpress.org/download/);**
   Unzip** the file and **upload** it to your hosting; Make sure **NOT** to overwrite
   the `wp-config.php` file and the `/wp-content/` folder.

 * You’re welcome! If you’re able, can you make sure that your hosting is set to
   use at least PHP 7.0?

 * 123 Reg only allow PHP up to 5.6?

 * I suggest looking for a better web host if you can. They already said they “have
   issues with automatic uploads” and they only offer a legacy and end of life version
   of PHP that could open your site up to potential security issues.
 * The recommended configuration for WordPress is **PHP version 7.4 or greater**.
   Though it should also work with **PHP 5.6.20+**, as explained here: [https://wordpress.org/about/requirements/](https://wordpress.org/about/requirements/).
 * Also, did you make sure that the `public_html/wp/wp-includes/comment.php` exists
   on your hosting? The error states, No such file or directory in reference to 
   that file.
