    Hello,

    I recently moved from Joomla to WordPress and I’m a bit at a loss about if I legally presented my website right. The last time I worked on it was years ago and as all the functions here are different I just draw a blank. Hoping you guys can help me out!

    – SSL is installed and forced by changing the website links in the settings at the backend.
    – Cookie popup notification is available with minimal information. I wonder, is it enough? Especially considering there will be a forum and mailing list? I found a privacy policy that’s automatically generated, shouldn’t that be at the cookie popup too? And will that standard one do for a website like mine? [ redundant link removed ]
    – Is there anything else I missed or is my website solid?

    We cannot offer legal advice in these forums. What is required varies greatly by jurisdiction. No one can be knowledgeable about requirements in all possible jurisdictions. I suggest you consult with an expert knowledgeable about the requirements in your local jurisdiction.

    FWIW, I think linking to your privacy policy from a cookie notice is the decent thing to do, whether required or not. Also the auto-generated privacy policy would surely need editing before it’s appropriate for your situation. It’s merely a suggested starting point.
