Unfortunately, you cannot inhibit the AI model from using its pre-trained knowledge, as it forms the foundation of its capabilities. This how the AI models are, this is not something about the plugin itself.

Hence, we recommend implementing “smart prompts” to restrain your chatbot’s topical scope. This method is often referred to as ‘prompt engineering’. The key lies in framing the chatbot’s context as precise and lucid as possible, thereby concentrating on a specific subject matter. Do not hesitate to script prompts like, “If this query isn’t related to our business, reply with: ‘I cannot assist with this matter.” Although this might not completely limit the topics, it provides greater control over the chatbot’s responses.

The “instructions” field is located at the Chatbot settings level and is not related to fine-tuning or any pro features. This functionality is available out of the box, as it simply sets the innate context for the AI model.

Fine-tuning is a highly specific process that requires significant time and data, which might make it challenging to tailor your chatbot to fit your business needs. The chatbots’ “instruction” field is available for editing in any chatbot and does not require any pro features. This works for regular chatbots as well as Assistants.
