 * Hey everyone
 * So my website is created with WordPress and has a few plugins. Now there seems
to be an issue with computing usage.
There was about 2000 Visitors on my website
each day and they produced about 640000 Visits. That seems to be way out of line.
So my buddy put it on his private server where he is running his own site. The
moment he turns the site on basically everything slows heavily down and the computing
is going through the roof in seconds.
 * I do have a lot of youtube links (with video) on my website. Twitter feed, Twitch
   feed etc.
 * I have about 20 pages on my website. I wonder how so little visitors can produce
so many visits? What is the site doing what it should not?

 * It depends on how “vists” are counted. If it’s a request for an HTTP file, then
using a plugin like “autoptimize” can combine a lot of css and js files, reducing
the number of fetches. Using another plugin like WP Super Cache can reduce the
database load by further caching those combined files.
 * Try installing and configuring both.
 * Also, please provide a link to your site! Thanks.

 * Thanks for the fast reply. WP Super Chache is active.
broken) we put the site on this server to do some tests: [http://euve249679.serverprofi24.net/](http://euve249679.serverprofi24.net/)
   some links might not work

 * Okay thanks, gonna try it out. Though do you think it will fix ALL the issues?
Or should I remove plugins like Twitter feed and Twitchfeed?

 * One step at a time.
 * Check your site at tools.pingdom.com to see how many requests are necessary to
   render a page.

 * So for example the page with most youtube vids has a lot of requests: [http://euve249679.serverprofi24.net/gameplay/](http://euve249679.serverprofi24.net/gameplay/)
   ⌊
   Youtube vid page⌉
 * And a page where most ppl want to check stuff like this also has a lot of requests:
   picture⌊picture build⌉
 * I will install Autoptimize soon and see if stuff changes.

 * what matters is the number of requests going to your host. Who cares how hard
   you’re hitting youtube. 🙂
