I am trying out ICS Calendar to replace Timely. I used your Preview and like the results. I copied your generated shortcode and added it to my page, but… the calendar display on my page does not look like the Preview with date and event text all out of alignment.

I am importing directly from an ICS file that we get from our local newspaper business, so I have no control over the ICS file construction.

    Shortcode

    [ics_calendar url=”https://www.visittrinity.com/wp-content/Master.ics” view=”month” tz=”America/Tijuana” eventdesc=”true” location=”true” organizer=”true” attach=”true”]

It looks like the problem is that your site is wrapping the entire calendar inside an HTML pre tag. That’s throwing off all of the layout. See if you can get rid of that, and it should fix everything.

Nice! Love simple fixes. I will plan with the tools some more. This will be WAY easier for us than the Timely steps. Thank you.

Is there a trick/code to get the mobile calendar to display correctly now that the desktop version is working? I am seeing a similar display problem.

The mobile calendar is looking OK to me. (The mobile calendar does convert to a stacked list rather than a table, because the table won’t fit well on a phone screen.)

It may be a caching issue. Is it still displaying incorrectly for you?

Thank you for checking. It does look good now. Nice Plugin.

Question: A lifetime license will allow installation on two different website/domains?

@trinitycounty The lifetime license allows 2 installations, with the intention that those can be used to run the plugin on both a staging and live version of the same site. However if you have 2 different live sites you want to run it on, there’s no way for the plugin to make a distinction between these uses.

One thing to note: I think the current logic prevents the same license from being used on two separate sites with the same IP address, so if both sites are running on the same server, it may not work. (Beyond this reply, I shouldn’t provide any additional support around the Pro version, since these forums are for free plugins only. You can visit https://icscalendar.com for more information about the Pro version.)
