Coming back to this issue as we never resolved it. IF a page is using Classic Editor, we get full benefit of Imagify WebP. If same page is using Gutenberg we do not.

My one rat study to look at is: https://www.gradschools.com/doctorate/mathematics-statistics/statistics-data-analytics

I left it in Gutenberg, can toggle to use the classic editor block as I will show you below. IF you want to make certain you are by-passing Cloudflare cache, just add ?cache=false

Sent a direct email to contact@imagify.io with screenshots and Temp Login w/o a password details.

Did regenerate Thumbnails and can verify that the webp works perfectly if content is in classic vs Gutenberg.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

We are NOT using rewrite rules because of CloudFlare.

    Site is WP Core 5.7.3

    Hey @haslamjj

It looks like you are not receiving our emails for a few days already. I explained the cause of the problem in two emails (one from September 3rd and one from today). Can you check your Spam folder and see if our messages are there?

To explain the problem, it looks like srcset is not applied because of Gutenberg itself and not Imagify. Even when WebP feature is disabled, there are srcset values missing for the problematic images.

When you use Classic editor, it works fine as all srcset values are available.

    Best Regards

    Marko,

Very sorry I missed your earlier reply. Okay, Gutenberg, future of WordPress and all that…. Anything you can point me to so that I can troubleshoot?

    Best regards,

    Hey Josepf,

I have tested this on my test site. If I use a full image size, it will not work. However, if I set it to Large or Medium (using Gutenberg image module), it will show WebP.

Can you try the same (change the image size for some of problematic images) and let me know if it worked?

If you have to share data that is not supposed to be available in public, feel free to share it in the conversation we have in our support channel.

We will share any result that could be useful for other users.

    Best Regards
    Marko
