I’ve also had this issue for ages across multiple sites and can’t figure out what’s causing it.

I’m seeing this too on multiple sites. Anyone figure out why this is happening?

I figured this out a while ago and forgot about this post.
My password manager autofilled something that shouldn’t have been

It was the favicon field on a theme (seems unnecessary but theme has a spot for it) so the field was filled in.

If it wasn’t that it was a field filled in in BBQ Pro for 404 redirects and it was autofilled by my password manager.

Anyway something is filled out somewhere it shouldn’t be.

    Wow OK. Thats interesting.

I am going to check out 1password and see if its something there.

Thanks. Will report back if that does it.

Probably on first page of theme options or EVEN on your USER profile page.

For cases like this I suggest you to download your theme files / plugin files next time and use GrepWIN http://www.wingrep.com/ if you are on windows or just the GREP command on Linux, to search files. If you can’t find the problem this way, just download the databse in .txt and scan it.

Checking things password managers filled in is definitely good practice.

You may also want to redirect /div to your home page in order to temporarily sort out the problem while you try to find the problematic field.

Weird. Cant find it anywhere but thanks @askkim, redirect is a great idea until I track this down.

    You’re quite welcome christree 🙂

Christree, have you tried grepping into the database and the theme/plugin folder files? Also if all else fails make sure you use the 301 redirect, but not the others.

@christree I can probably help you find it if you are comfortable sharing your URL.
