# weblogs.com update?

 * I couldn’t find more information about this, but it seems that every time I update
   my blog, something is “phoned back” to weblogs.com and my blog gets listed on
   that website (I am too scared to post anything and test this, fearning that my
   blog may become public). Basically, I want only my closest friends to know the
   URL of my blog.
    I don’t want this to happen! What should I do? I made sure that
   I did _not_ follow the “The weblogs.com cache file needs to be writable by the
   web server. CHMOD 666 the weblogs.com.changes.cache file.” step in the installation
   and I am wondering if I need to do anything else. Thanks, Chris

 * You look for
    Options -> RSS/RDF Feeds, Track/pingbacks -> use_weblogsping and
   set that to false.
